Firefighters were called to free a child from a lift in Dalgety Bay

The incident happened last week when a six-year-old boy was believed to have been trapped for over an hour at the Dalgety Bay Sports Centre.

His mother said he was “so brave” as firefighters worked to get him out.

She added: “He got shot at a firetruck when he got out and he was so pleased with himself!”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “At 6.53pm on Tuesday, May 7, we received a report of a person stuck in a lift at leisure facilities on Harbor Road, Dalgety Bay, Fife.
