Driver arrested after crashing into Reynolds School District bus barn

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Fairview woman was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing into a Reynolds School District bus depot in Fairview, authorities said.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Gresham Police were dispatched to the scene at Northeast 203rd and Glisan Street on a report that a truck had crashed through a fence and driven through a shed. Authorities say the driver then drove away in the severely damaged truck.


A few minutes later, Officer Gresham found the truck at Northeast Glisan Street and 192nd Street. Based on the witness’s description, officers located the driver and arrested her on suspicion of DUI and related charges. She was then taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office told KOIN 6 News that a Reynolds School District employee who responded to the scene near the time of the crash estimated the damage at $24,000.

According to reports, there was also a power outage in the area.
