2024 Southern Arizona Senior Appreciation Girls and Boys All-Star Games

The second annual All-Star Appreciation Games for girls and boys will be held Saturday at Pima’s West Gym starting at 2 p.m. with the girls’ game.

The boys game will follow at 4 p.m.

Organizers were able to gather around 40 athletes for the event, which began last year.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID.

We hope that this will become a highly anticipated event by the community each year.

I want to be clear: this is not a recruitment showcase. College coaches are not expected to be present for potential prospects. Some players have already made their college plans. For others, it will be their last opportunity to play in front of a crowd as they graduate from high school.

Hence the word “appreciation” added to the event.

Members of the Pima men’s basketball team will serve as coaches for the games.
