Four men have been arrested after a violent brawl involving a group of men with guns and ramming cars

Four men have been arrested in connection with a violent incident in Co Clare on Monday.

Gardaí are investigating after a vehicle was rammed and a group of armed men were involved in a brawl on Watery Road, Ennis.

The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. Police arrived at the scene and an investigation was launched.

No serious injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, a search and arrest operation was carried out in Ennis on Thursday morning with the support of the Garda Armed Support Unit.

During this operation, a number of items with evidentiary value were seized.

Four men were also arrested and detained at Clare Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Two men, aged in their teens and 20s, have already been charged and are expected to appear in Ennis District Court this morning.

The other two men, aged 20 and 50, are still detained.

Investigations are ongoing.
