Jamie Carsey appointed as Claims Director at Markel Specialty

RICHMOND, Virginia, June 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Markel, the insurance division of Markel Group Inc. (NYSE: MKL), announced today that Jamie Carsey has been appointed director of claims to oversee the U.S. and U.S Bermudas claims to operate within the company’s specialist division.

Carsey joined Markel in 2017 and has held various positions within the company, most recently as Senior Managing Director of Claims – Legal and Director of Litigation. Before joining Markel, she was a partner at a Texasbased in an insurance company, where she managed large trial teams dealing with complex cases throughout the country. He is a member of Markel’s Global D&I Steering Committee and Talent Advisory Board Houston board of directors of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF). Carsey holds a bachelor’s degree from U.S University of Texas and a law degree from the University of University of Houston Law Center.
