What is the Doodle for Google contest?

On the occasion of Google’s 25th anniversary, the company sent students “wishes for the next 25 years…”

“I want to become a beekeeper because I want to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps,” the primary school student wrote in her message. “I was inspired by his love for bees. He said bees are valuable because they have a major impact on balancing the ecosystem. Bees may become extinct if we do not take care of them.

The contest received a total of 55 entries — one doodle for each U.S. state and territory — in five categories separated by school grade. Alice is in the fourth and fifth grade.

How to vote

During the first round, voters can choose one doodle in each school grade category.

Voting takes place online and ends on Wednesday at 2:00 a.m. CST.
