Police say a fatal motorcycle crash has closed a road in Mount Prospect near Algonquin Road and Briarwood Drive

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (WLS) — North suburban police closed a busy intersection Tuesday after a fatal motorcycle crash, according to Mount Prospect police.

According to police in Mt. Prospect, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Algonquin Road and Briarwood Drive.

The road was closed as of 10:20 a.m. while police investigated the accident.

Details of the crash were not immediately known.

It is not known how many vehicles were involved in the accident.

The identity of the murdered person was not revealed. It is not known if anyone else was injured.
