Detectives need help identifying suspect accused of luring and raping 19-year-old woman in Tacoma

It is known that the man is between 55 and 65 years old. He is accused of luring the victim into woodland near Kings Manor Senior Living Facility on May 17.

TACOMA, Wash. — Pierce County Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a man accused of luring and raping a 19-year-old woman in Tacoma.

According to PCSD, the assault occurred at 11:30 a.m. on May 17 near the Kings Manor Senior Living Facility on Portland Avenue East. The suspect allegedly lured the victim into a nearby forest after telling him he needed help with an injured cat. He then reportedly punched her, knocked her down and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect then fled and the victim returned to the facility where she worked to call for help.

The man is wanted for second-degree rape.

According to PCSD, the suspect is between 55 and 65 years old, over 6 feet tall and weighs over 300 pounds. He was also wearing a neck gaiter at the time of the attack. Below is a sketch of the suspect:
