VBPD: Man arrested in connection with May 19 shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested Monday in connection with a May 19 shooting on Hampshire Lane.

Officers with the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital just after 1:10 a.m. on May 19 for a report of an adult male with a gunshot wound.


Officers arrived at the hospital, where the victim told detectives the incident occurred around midnight at 5700 Hampshire Lane.

As a result of the investigation, felony warrants were issued for 58-year-old Mario Feather for serious injury with intent, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in a public place.

Feather was arrested on June 10, according to officials.
