After a season of cat fights, drama and fashion reality shows The face of Australia he was finally crowned the winner last night.

Mentored by judge Cheyenne Tozzi, 20-year-old Olivia Donaldson won over everyone with her natural charm and fresh face, which helped her land a coveted contract with skincare brand Olay.

The Perth model had stiff competition from fellow contestants Sarah Tilleke (Naomi Campbell’s tutor) and Yaya Deng, who were also in the running for the title.

Donaldson said winning the competition was “overwhelming” for her.

“It was an amazing, amazing moment,” Donaldson said. “It wasn’t a huge shock to me, but it really overwhelmed me.”

The model admitted that she thought she had a chance from the beginning, but said that anyone could compete to advance to the final three.

“It was going really well and I thought, ‘OK, maybe I have a chance.’ But when they were picking the top three, I was so nervous that I really didn’t know (if I would make it).”

Model mentor Cheyenne Tozzi said she felt like a “proud mom” when she heard Olivia eliminated the competition.

“(Olivia) truly deserves it, she has the girl next door, smiling and approachable attitude that suits Olay Fresh Effects,” Cheyenne said.

“That’s what I instilled in (my team) from the beginning, to exude a sense of happiness – and she did it.”

Despite losing to close friend Tozzi, Naomi Campbell screamed upon hearing that Olivia was the winner, saying she was very happy for Olivia.

“I got a high five from Naomi,” Cheyenne said. “It’s just a competition, there were no hard feelings towards anyone.”
