Kenya Moore hit a five-figure tax bill just weeks before her alleged suspension

As Ben Franklin said, “Nothing is certain in this world except death and taxes.” The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star. Kenya Moore I recently became convinced of the truth of this old proverb.

On March 14, just a few weeks before she was allegedly suspended from RHOA, the taxman came to her with a bill for almost $15,000. Apparently Kenya forgot to pay her Fulton County, Georgia taxes for 2023.

Court documents show that Kenya received a “Fieri Facias” – a court order ordering the sheriff to recover an amount owed or take property to satisfy a judgment. The municipality has not yet filed a declaration regarding the lien.

This is not Kenya’s first conflict with the tax collector. In 2018, the IRS placed a lien on Kenya’s assets in the amount of $150,000 for tax year 2016. According to In Touch, the lien was ultimately granted and released.

In addition to tax problems, Kenya is facing the loss of her paycheck from Bravo. Just last week, news broke that Kenya had been suspended from filming due to unacceptable behavior towards a co-star. Guests at her Kenya Moore Hair Spa were reportedly shocked by posters showing castmate Brittany Eady performing a sex act.

While Brittany was not in attendance at the event, several other Atlanta cast members attended, including Kenya’s best friend, Porsha Williams. Sources say the obscene posters were in retaliation for alleged threats Brittany made to Kenya ahead of the event.

Production sources rejected the threat claims, saying: “At no time was Kenya threatened by weapons nor were any weapons present during production.”

In response to the allegations, Kenya posted a lengthy post on Instagram. “Don’t believe anything you hear and half of what you see,” she wrote. “The truth always comes to light… I would never engage in revenge porn, I would never distribute anyone’s private photos or videos, or request images belonging to others to use to threaten or blackmail (and) I have always been excused. I can’t talk about HISTORY even if people spread fake news #sweet16.”

Castmate Drew Sidora wrote on social media: “I’m stunned and blown away.”

In her defense, Brittany replied, “It never feels good to be targeted or SHOCKED by someone who I thought would bring me into a new circle that I had never met… For the record, I have never owned or threatened any weapons. anyone ever. I’ve never been to jail, been in a fight, or even received a speeding ticket. That’s not my character. I am hurt by the narrative that is being presented. Evil is evil.” It’s quite sad that he’s starting a new job and already encountering such open hostility from his co-worker.

Bravo has not yet commented on this matter. Perhaps if Kenya is supposedly suspended she can work on this tax situation…

Real Housewives of Atlanta is now streaming on Peacock.
