American rapper Travis Scott was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol.

The 33-year-old from Texas, real name Jacques Webster, was arrested and taken to the Miami Beach Police Department after the incident that took place at the city’s marina in the early hours of Thursday.

In a statement to the Miami Beach Police Department news agency, it said: “The Miami Beach Police Department confirms the arrest of Mr. Jacques Webster, DOB. 30/04/1991, June 20, 2024 at approximately 1:44.

“Mr. Webster was arrested following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina at 300 Alton Road.”

Police documents show that officers responded to a disturbance on the yacht, where they observed the rapper shouting at people on the ship.

The complaint/arrest affidavit added that officers “smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the defendant’s breath” and told him to leave the dock or he would be arrested.

He initially complied with officers’ commands warning him to leave the premises before returning five minutes later and disregarding officers’ instructions not to return.

The document added that the defendant later admitted to drinking alcohol and stated, “It’s Miami.”

Scott’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
