Randy Quaid unrecognizable after being released from a Canadian prison

Actor Randy Quaid has been released from a Montreal immigration detention center on $10,000 bail after his arrest last week by Canada Border Services Agency officers, the Canadian Press news website reported Tuesday.

Quaid and his wife, Evi Quaid, have been living in Canada since they escaped vandalism charges in California in 2010.

At the time, they made headlines around the world by seeking refugee status in Canada to avoid Hollywood “stars.”

But in his latest standoff with Canadian immigration officials, Quaid was arrested last Thursday in Montreal.

He and Evi Quaid have lived in the city since January 2013, when Quaid was denied permanent resident status.

Conditions of Quaid’s release include notifying Canadian immigration officials of his whereabouts.

Evi Quaid can remain in Canada with full citizenship because her father is Canadian.

Quaid is best known for his film roles in Brokeback Mountain, National Lampoon’s Vacation and Independence Day.

In February 2015, he and Evi Quaid went on a YouTube video tirade against Rupert Murdoch for his involvement in an alleged conspiracy with News Corp, Warner Bros. and TMZ.
