Singer Sean Kingston jailed in Broward prison;  A new video with NBA YoungBoy has been released

Over the past few days, reggae singer Sean Kingston released a new music video featuring his song NBA YoungBoy and was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on nine counts of fraud and theft and violating probation.

These two events are not related.

On Sunday, Kingston was booked into the Broward County Main Jail under his government name, Kisean Anderson, after being extradited from California. Broward Sheriff’s Office online jail records show Kingston’s bail is set at $100,000.

Arrest records accuse Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, of regularly bouncing checks and defrauding businesses and banks of furniture, jewelry and the use of a Cadillac Escalade. Kingston was arrested at Fort Irwin, California, on May 23, while BSO arrested Turner the same day. She was released on Tuesday after posting $160,000 bail.

Kingston (34) was charged with the following charges:

Obtaining assets worth more than $50,000 by fraud; fraudulent use of another person’s identification without consent, over $50,000 (three counts); fraudulent use of another person’s identification without consent, over $5,000; grand larceny worth $20,000 to $100,000; fraudulent use of check with insufficient funds over $150; grand larceny over $100,000 (two counts); and probation violation.

Kingston’s video titled “Why Oh Why,” which appeared on WorldStar Hip Hop’s YouTube page on Friday, includes news footage of the May 23 raid of the Kingston Southwest Ranches home by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Davie police SWAT teams.

Kington is not the only person in the video whose movements are restricted due to criminal charges. According to The Herald Journal of Logan, Utah, NBA YoungBoy, aka Kentrell Gaulden, was charged by federal authorities in Louisiana on drug and weapons charges, but remains in a Utah prison after being charged with 48 counts of drug fraud prescription.
