A man suspected of beating his wife with a metal crowbar was arrested

A 46-year-old man was arrested on Saturday evening in the coastal town of Filiatra in the Peloponnese for brutally beating his 25-year-old wife. He faces charges of domestic violence, serious physical injury and illegal possession of a weapon.

According to sources, the young woman was beaten with a one-meter-long metal crowbar. She called the police, who transported her to the hospital.

The man will appear before the prosecutor on Monday.
