19-year-old arrested in Cedar Hill shooting – KBSI Fox 23 Cape Girardeau News

CEDAR HILL, MO (KBSI) – An arrest has been made following a shooting that occurred on July 20 in Cedar Hill, MO.

Deputies responded to a fight in progress at the Cedar Hill River Access, 7000 Cedar Hill Road. While deputies were investigating, another unrelated fight broke out, during which the suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times, even though deputies were several feet away from him. Police arrested Hunter Kilpatrick, 19, of House Springs, Missouri.
The 21-year-old victim was taken to hospital, where he remains undergoing treatment.

Kilpatrick faces the following charges:

• Assault – 1st degree, unlawful use of a weapon
• 2 counts of armed criminal action

Kilpatrick is being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
