Justin Timberlake returned to the stage for the first time since his DWI arrest and seemed to have gotten over his recent issues.

The singer performed at Chicago’s United Center on Friday night, and fan videos posted on social media show him addressing the audience, saying, “It’s been a rough week.”

He added, “I know I’m hard to love sometimes, but keep loving me and I love you.”

Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday morning for driving under the influence in Sag Harbor, New York. According to the complaint, Timberlake told the arresting officer that he had only had one drink.
