Cork advanced to the semi-finals of the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship after beating Dublin 0-26 to 0-21 in Thurles this afternoon.

Patrick Horgan (0-10) and Declan Dalton (0-6) led the way for the Rebels, who took a 0-15 to 0-10 lead at half-time.

Luke Meade and Dalton (2) extended the lead to nine after the change and from there Dublin would be able to cut the deficit to six for most of the second half with Sean Currie, Chris Crummy and Paddy Doyle scoring all the points .

Robbie O’Flynn and Horgan completed the Leesiders’ scoring before Donal Burke (free) scored five points in stoppage time, but they scored no further points after that to ensure Pat Ryan’s side progressed to the semi-finals, with either Limerick or Kilkenny waiting, depending on the results of this afternoon’s second quarter-final between Clare and Wexford.
