Gardai say teenager arrested in connection with ‘incidents of violence’

Gardai say a teenager has been arrested in connection with “incidents of violence” which reportedly took place last Monday in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

A teenage boy was arrested at a garda station in north Dublin on suspicion of committing an offense “contrary to the Non-Fatal Offenses Act”.

He was arrested yesterday – charges have been brought against him – and will appear in criminal court on Monday.

Gardai say they take any crime or incident “motivated by hate” seriously, adding that investigations are ongoing.
