Former Raiders player Chandler Jones may avoid prison after being charged with two domestic violence charges last fall.

Las Vegas Justice Court findings show that on June 17, Jones received a 90-day suspended sentence, which will allow him to avoid punishment if he stays out of trouble and has no contact with his victim, except under Family Court orders.

Court records show that before receiving the interim sentence, Jones filed a nolo pretendere, or no contest, plea, which led to the dismissal of one of his domestic violence charges.

Court records show the second charge will be dismissed if Jones meets a condition to stay out of trouble for six months by Dec. 17.

The records show that a hearing on the status of requirements imposed in the case was scheduled for October 29.

Jones’ charges stem from his arrest in September after the Metropolitan Police Department found he had violated a temporary protection order issued by his son’s mother.

In an arrest report, police said Jones stripped and burned the woman’s belongings that he had taken from her yard, including a trash can, pool net and dog toys.

Jones was fired by the Raiders following the incident, although Jones did not play in a single game last season after making several disturbing posts on social media.

Police logs show that on October 17, Jones was also arrested a second time for violating a Temporary Domestic Violence Protection Order.
