Family says 13-year-old boy missing in Port St. John

Family says the 13-year-old went missing after a birthday party in Port St. John

Family members, friends and neighbors set out to search for a 13-year-old Melbourne girl in a densely wooded area in Port St. John after she was last seen on the porch of her grandfather’s house in Port St. John on Monday afternoon.

The family contacted the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office regarding the missing child, identified as Miracle Ackley. Several units of the sheriff’s office, along with a helicopter, were involved in the search on Monday evening. By nightfall, the sheriff’s office had issued no warnings or notices about the child.

The family is asking the public for help in the search for Miracle, who was visiting her grandfather’s house for her sister’s birthday party. The home is located at 6500 Golfview Avenue and

“I was cooking in the back. Mom saw her on the porch and left for a few minutes. When she came back, she was gone,” said Sean Ackley, Miracle’s father.

Andrea Dria, Miracle’s aunt, said: “People are calling to come and help with the search.”

Dria described Miracle as “shy” and the kind of child who would ask permission to retrieve her mail outdoors.
