Missing local boy found safe, police say

A 16-year-old Jasper County boy reported missing Tuesday has been located and is doing well, county police said.

“He is currently with Jasper County deputies awaiting the arrival of his family,” police said.

The accused was eventually spotted in a river and continued to flee until an officer used a stun gun to stop him, police said.

After the boy disappeared from his rural Jasper County home, police released a photo and turned to the public for help finding him.
