Kamloops Mounties investigation into serious assault sends man to hospital with blunt force injuries – Kamloops News

Police searched a North Kamloops neighborhood Wednesday morning following reports of an armed robbery.

Castanet Kamloops observed five officers and four police cars on 13th Street around 9 a.m. An officer on scene said police would likely be in the area for some time.

Kamloops RCMP were called about two hours earlier to a home in the 1100-13th Street where a man was located with what police described as “serious injuries” consistent with blunt force trauma.

“The man was transported by ambulance to hospital with serious injuries, the extent of which is unknown at this time,” said RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

“Police remain in the area and officers are continuing to investigate with the help of a number of support units, including the General Investigations Support Team, the Crime Reduction Unit and the Forensic Identification Service.”
