A burglary suspect was arrested in Odessa |  Your sink

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – An Odessa man was arrested on a warrant this week after investigators said he broke into a home in early June. James Williams III was charged with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, on June 5, officers were called to a home on W 33rd StreetR&D Street after someone called 911 and said an unknown man entered his home through a window and stole multiple items, including a firearm.


Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the area and observed a man wearing gloves approaching the residence; Investigators said the suspect tried to enter through the front door but was unable to enter. The video shows the man walking to the back of the house and then leaving while carrying a gun bag.

Investigators then canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses, who identified the suspect as Williams based on his tattoos. He was arrested on a warrant June 25 and was in custody on $25,000 bail as of Wednesday afternoon.
