Motorcycle gangs may be a mainstay of popular media, where cool, tough guys ride sweetly, but in real life they are not so cool at all. In reality, gangs like the Hells Angels are notorious criminal organizations and have been involved in so many illegal activities, there is a Wikipedia page dedicated exclusively to all the crimes the Hells Angels have been accused of in California. However, this list may need to be updated because – reports the Guardian the entire Bakersfield Hells Angels chapter has just been arrested and charged with a litany of crimes.

However, if you were expecting to read about the capture of around 30 or 40 men, we have some disappointing news. The entire squad appears to consist entirely of just seven members. Because one of the members, Joshua Vaughn, was already in jail when police arrived, this meant the Kern County Sheriff’s Department arrested just six men: Ricardo Alvarez, Armando Villasenor, Joseph Soto Sr., Joseph Soto Jr., Joshua Zavala and John Seeger . .

These arrests also did not involve unpaid speeding tickets or refusing to wear helmets. The group’s list of charges includes “kidnapping, first-degree robbery, criminal threats, false imprisonment, assault with a firearm, participation in a criminal street gang, criminal conspiracy and intimidation of a witness or victim, as well as elder abuse.” While executing eight search warrants in Bakersfield, deputies also seized approximately 25 weapons, ammunition and several magazines.

It’s unclear how long they’ll last, but something tells us they won’t be outside for quite some time. Especially if any of them have a criminal record. If only we could get California to show a similar level of concern the number of alleged gangs in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
