2 dead in ‘serious crash’ in Pewaukee

PEWAUKEE, Wis. — At least two are dead in a “serious crash” in Pewaukee, according to Pewaukee Assistant Fire Chief Mark Hoppe.

Hoppe told Spectrum News that the driver of a pickup truck entered a construction area and hit another vehicle.

Four people were involved in the incident, including two construction workers. Hoppe said three people were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Hoppe said there have been two fatalities.

The Waukesha County Sheriff said the intersection at Pewaukee Road and Capitol Drive is closed in all directions for the investigation. The Lisbon Fire Department and Brookfield Fire Department are helping assist.

Officials said they will release more information later Wednesday.
