The Blue Jays-Red Sox series finale, suspended due to weather, will be part of the DH split in August

BOSTON — Wednesday night’s series finale between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox has been suspended due to severe weather conditions.

The scoreless game was stopped in the bottom of the second inning when a man was singled out, Toronto’s Davis Schneider was on first base with a walk, and Danny Jansen was scheduled to bat.

The game will end on Aug. 26, the point it was suspended, as part of a split doubleheader.

Toronto and Boston split the first two games of the three-game set.

COMMENTS: 1B Triston Casas, sidelined since April 21 with a left rib strain, underwent an MRI on Tuesday that showed his chest had healed properly.
