Franklin road reopens after serious crash, investigation continues

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) – The roadway has reopened after a serious crash in Franklin.

In Lebanon, N. Dixie Drive between Franklin Eagles and Pennyroyal Road was closed for several hours on Wednesday, June 26. The closure was due to a “serious” car accident.


According to the Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m

The initial investigation revealed that a 2008 Honda Civic, exiting a private dive, turned south onto Dixie Highway. A 2003 Dodge Ram was traveling north on Dixie Highway. As it was exiting its driveway, the Honda was struck by the Dodge.

The driver of the Honda, Mary P. Hensley, 73, was transported to Atrium Medical Center where she died from fatal injuries. The driver of the Dodge was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The investigation into the disaster is being conducted by the Lebanese Volunteer Fire Department.
