Dak Prescott’s Sexual Assault Suit Dismissed

Sexual assault lawsuit filed against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was canceled.

According to online court records reviewed by TMZ, a Colin County, Texas judge dismissed the lawsuit against Prescott, 30.

“Despite the relentless efforts of Ms. Shores and her legal team to extort money and destroy Dak’s reputation, justice has consistently prevailed and will continue to do so.” Levi McCathernPrescott’s lawyer said “Nas” weekly. in a statement on Wednesday, June 26. “The original lies by Ms. Shores and her team, and the recent failed attempt to sue him in civil court, are merely a continuation of their extortion conspiracy against Dak. These stunts distract from the trauma of sexual assault victims who have legally survived and undermine the progress our society has made in supporting them. We are proud that Dak is standing up to this injustice, and a grateful Judge Tucker agrees.”

According to McCathern, “Judge Tucker scheduled a hearing for September 13 to determine what sanctions should be imposed on Ms. Shores and her legal team for bringing frivolous claims.”

In a February trial, Prescott was accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman. After the allegations were denied, the NFL star claimed the request was part of an extortion scheme. In the lawsuit, Prescott alleged defamation, civil extortion, business disparagement, tortious interference with current and/or future business relationships, civil conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
