An Orange County teaching assistant has been arrested and charged with lewd acts on young girls

An Orange County teaching assistant has been arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts on young girls.

The suspect was identified as Giacomo “Jack” Antonio Valdivieso-Vargas, 21, according to the Tustin Police Department.

Vargas worked as a teaching assistant at UT Middle School in Tustin.

Investigators said Vargas inappropriately touched a 12-year-old girl during the course of his work.

Officials say he also allegedly made sexual remarks to at least two other 12-year-old girls.

Vargas was arrested Thursday on charges of child abuse, child cruelty and lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14.
