Harish Rao meets MLC Kavitha in Tihar-Telangana Today Jail

Kavitha is said to have inquired about the health of her father and BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao, who is recovering from hip replacement surgery

Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and former minister T Harish Rao met MP K Kavitha at Tihar Jail on Friday morning.

During Mulakat, he allegedly asked about her well-being and asked her to be strong, expressing confidence that she would come out clean.

Kavitha was said to have inquired about the health of her father and BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao, who is recovering after a hip replacement surgery.

They also learnt to discuss Telangana politics and family issues among others.

Apart from BRS working president and her brother KT Rama Rao, former ministers P. Sabitha Indra Reddy and Satyavathi Rathod also met Kavita in jail recently.

The Rouse Avenue court recently extended the judicial custody of MLC Kavitha till July 5 in connection with a case related to excise policy in Delhi.

Authorities brought her virtually to court on June 21. The case will be heard again by the court on July 3.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court reserved judgment on Kavita’s bail application.
