Myrtle Beach police officer on leave after SLED arrest for domestic violence

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach police officer was arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) on Thursday for second-degree domestic violence, online booking records show.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said it is aware of the arrest of Christopher Turner. Turner, 32, is currently being held at the J. Rueben Long Detention Center without bond, according to online booking records.


Turner has been with the Myrtle Beach Police Department since 2014 and is currently on leave without pay pending the outcome of the case, the department said in a Facebook post.
