Jeremy Renner raves about Avengers Bond, “will go to jail” with RDJ

Jeremy Renner he is always happy to meet his Avengers cast mates – even if it means a trip to prison.

Renner, 53, first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hawkeye in 2011. Since then, he and his A-list actors have formed a very strong bond off-screen.

“Oh f… yes, this actually exists — and not just on Instagram,” the actor said Men’s health. “We hate this shit.”

Renner explained how he and his MCU pals have a “family chat” that they have used to communicate over the years. As he explained, the text chain became a place to commemorate life’s ups and commiserate over its downfalls.

“When you work with people, look, we all went through a culturally significant experience together,” Renner said. “And there’s divorce and marriage and kids; a lot has happened in those 12 years. In the movies, we look like we’re at a costume party, and there’s funny props and we’re doing these absurd things, but it’s also beautiful because we’re all connected.”

He continued: “There’s a brotherhood or sisterhood or whatever you want to call it. I just call it love. I love every single one of them.”

Renner has starred in numerous MCU films, including: Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth AND Ruffalo Brandbut he identified two buddies with whom he would go really far.

“I would rather go to prison with Downey than do something amazing myself,” he said. “I’d rather be in a car accident with Evans.”

The actor obviously refers Robert Downey Jr. AND Chris Evanswho appeared alongside Renner as Iron Man and Captain America, respectively.

Following the January 2023 snowplow accident that nearly took Renner’s life — which left him with nearly 40 broken bones and a collapsed lung — Renner said his MCU co-star Anthony Mackie she visited him in the hospital within a few days and later he was visited by people like Paul Rudd AND Sam Rockwell.

Johansson, 39, and Evans, 43, also visited his hospital in Nevada.
