Suspended NDC Assin Central PC threatens legal action

The lawyer for the suspended National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate in the Assin Central constituency in the Central Region has given the party a three-day ultimatum to overturn the decision.

Candidate Nurein Shiabu Migyimaha’s lawyer in a statement threatened legal action if the NDC proves ineffective.

The NDC Central Regional Secretariat on Friday announced the suspension of Mr. Migyimah just six months before the December 7 elections, citing his immoral acts and anti-party activities.

However, Mr. Migyimah’s lawyer described the suspension as unlawful, illegitimate, entirely wrong and there is no legal base.

According to the lawyer, some directors of regions and constituencies are deliberately trying to carry out personal revenge against the candidate.
