Firefighters extinguish fire at ‘commercial kitchen’ in Salisbury

Firefighters extinguish a fire at a ‘commercial kitchen’ in Salisbury city centre.

Police closed Fisherton Street following the incident just before 2pm today (Sunday).

The fire is believed to have started at Yeti Kitchen, with flames spreading to the roof of the building.

In a statement, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Fisherton Street, Salisbury, at 1.55pm today (29th June) following reports of smoke coming from a building.

“Crews from Salisbury, Amesbury, Tisbury, Andover and Redbridge (Southampton) are currently on scene with further equipment on the way.”

They added: “It appears that the fire in the commercial kitchen spread through the flue to the roof.

“All residents of the affected building have been accounted for.”
