Washington DC boy shot multiple times near Nationals Park

Washington, D.C. — Authorities are asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a shooting.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, the victims were inside a residence located in the 1400 block of 1st Street, Southwest, when the suspect entered, brandished a handgun and shot him before fleeing.

A boy was shot in the chest and leg. He was identified as a juvenile male. Another victim, a male, was shot in the shoulder. No further information on his identity has been released. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras.
