A 90-year-old Amherst Township man is missing

AMHERST TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an elderly Amherst Township man who went missing on Thursday.

Robert Igoe, 90, left his home around 11 a.m. to buy parts for his lawn mower at a Lorain store. Investigators say Igoe never arrived and hasn’t been heard from since.

According to the sheriff’s office, Igoe may be suffering from the early stages of dementia. Investigators say he had already had trouble finding his way home.

His vehicle, a silver 2010 Dodge Ram with Ohio license plate DWK7996, was last seen near Toledo around 8:47 a.m. Friday morning heading west toward Indiana.

Anyone who has seen the missing person should contact law enforcement.
