NYC Commuter Alert: G Train Service to Be Partially Suspended in Brooklyn Starting Friday Evening for MTA Traffic Signal Modernization Project

NEW YORK (WABC) — The first phase of a 10-week project that will close a section of the G rail line in Brooklyn begins Friday evening.

As of 9:45 p.m., there will be no G trains in either direction for the next week between Court Square and Nassau Avenue. In the meantime, free B94 shuttle buses will run between these stops.

Trains will continue to run between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.

These changes will apply until 9:45 p.m. on July 5.

The entire track signal modernization project on line G is scheduled for completion in September.

According to the MTA, approximately 160,000 passengers ride the G train each day.
