Camogie: Kilkenny goals down Royals

Kilkenny 3-11 Meath 0-10

After a big win over Antrim last weekend Meath came up against an unbeaten Kilkenny side in this All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship Group B Round 6 clash at Rathmolyon.

Aoife Carey got the scoreboard working for the home side and a further three points from Ciara Foley had the Royals 0-4 to 0-3 in front midway through the half. A point from a sideline cut from Danielle Morrissey and a Caroline Kennedy goal put the visitors in control and they went to the dressing room 1-7 to 0-4 in front.

Like the opening half Meath were on the scoreboard first with a point from Olivia OHalloran after two minutes. A second Kennedy goal eight minutes later put Kilkenny in total control and when Aston Grace got in for their third major with five minutes remaining Kilkenny were well on their way to a fourth win.

Kerry are up next for Meath in the final group game next Saturday. The Royals will have home advantage.
