16-year-old girl becomes sixth murder victim in Antigua

Antigua authorities have identified the body found on Fig Tree Drive on Friday as that of 16-year-old Yenifer Bridge.

The case is being investigated as a homicide. It is the sixth such incident in Antigua this year.

Bridge’s two-year-old son was found wandering alone on Jonas Road on Friday morning, hours before his mother’s body was discovered.

The child was taken to All Saints Police Station and has since been reunited with her grandmother.

The circumstances of Bridge’s death and the discovery of her unattended child have raised concerns in the community.

Authorities are appealing to anyone with information on the case to come forward.
