Boy shot, other juvenile arrested in Glendale shooting

A minor was shot and killed in Glendale on Friday evening, and another person has been charged in the case.

Around 10 p.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting near the Yardhouse restaurant in the Westgate Entertainment District on West Entertainment Boulevard near West Glendale Boulevard, according to police. Police said a juvenile male was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Another juvenile male was found in a nearby parking lot and arrested on various weapons charges related to the shooting, police noted.

Police are not releasing the suspect’s name because he is a minor. The exact age of the victim and suspect has not been released by police.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
