Three DeRidder men arrested for indecent behavior with minors

DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) – Police say three men are currently in custody in DeRidder for indecent behavior with a minor.

The DeRidder Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division began investigating the complaint and learned that a group of adult males were engaging in inappropriate conversations that led to sexual intercourse with underage females in the area.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Jaddarius J. Miller, 26, of DeRidder, had sexual relations with minors. When questioned by detectives, he confirmed the allegations. He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with first-degree rape when the victim was less than 13 years old. He is being held without bail.

The second man charged was Keomah Ishmael Jackson, 24, also of DeRidder. Jackson was charged with sexual intercourse with a minor, to which he admitted. He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with carnal knowledge of a minor and indecent conduct with a minor. His bond was set at $200,000.00.

Detectives also learned that Emmanuel Travone, of DeRidder, had sexual relations with a minor on January 21. He admitted to the relationship and was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail, charged with knowledge of a minor and indecent conduct with a minor. His bond was set at $200,000.00.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges have been filed.

The DeRidder Police Department would also like to remind parents to monitor their children’s cell phone and social media activity. Parents should check every app on their child’s phone because predators can target children through social media apps if parents are unaware of their child’s online activity.

“Talk to your children about internet safety,” said Police Chief Craig Richard. “Parents should have every password their child has set on their cell phones or internet-connected devices. Parents should also take the extra step of seizing their child’s phone at night while it’s charging so no one can communicate with them while they’re sleeping.”
