A woman who accused Snoop Dogg of sexual assault and battery in a lawsuit in February and then withdrew the suit months later has re-filed a lawsuit against the rapper and one of his associates.

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, refiled the lawsuit earlier this week in a federal district court in California, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. The lawsuit again includes allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment against the “Gin and Juice” rapper and his associate Bishop Don Magic Juan, which he has denied, and also includes claims of defamation.

The initial lawsuit was reportedly dropped “without prejudice” in April, months after Snoop Dogg asked a federal judge to dismiss the suit on the grounds that its allegations were “implausible and false.”

This week, Doe, allegedly a former employee of the star, claims that Snoop Dogg, 50, used social media to threaten her. She also claims that after a private mediation between her and the entertainer’s legal team, he used social media to “threaten, intimidate and coerce plaintiff into not exercising her constitutional rights to participate in mediation.”

The lawsuit states: “It is not surprising that defendant Snoop Dogg’s pattern and practice of threats, retaliation, harassment and intimidation did not end there.”

The lawsuit also claims that despite the accuser’s desire to remain anonymous, her identity was revealed by a spokesman for the rapper — whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. — in order to “intimidate” and “harass” her.

In response, a spokesperson for the rapper told PEOPLE: “The complaint re-filed against Snoop Dog by ‘Jane Doe’ and her lawyer is without merit. It follows Jane Doe’s attorney’s voluntary dismissal of her previous complaint in the case just a few months ago. He also dismissed an earlier complaint — this is his third attempt. As before, this re-filed complaint is riddled with falsehoods and inaccuracies. Moreover, as Jane Doe and her attorney know or should know, Jane Doe was never an employee of Snoop Dogg.”

“In March 2022, plaintiff and her attorney received a motion to dismiss from counsel Snoop Dogg. This motion made clear to Jane Doe and her attorney the false nature of Jane Doe’s allegations against Snoop Dogg. Jane Doe’s attorney then asked the court in April 2022 to dismiss his client’s complaint.

The spokesperson concluded: “Snoop Dogg looks forward to proving these allegations false.”

The “Young, Wild & Free” rapper was originally sued in February. At the time, Doe claimed that he attacked her after she attended his concert at Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California in May 2013. She also alleged that she worked for Snoop Dogg and Don Juan as a stage dancer during their concerts in exchange for gifts.

The lawsuit alleged that Snoop Dogg’s “actions were sexually predatory in nature,” stating that Doe “found herself thinking about the security of her job if she was dissatisfied with (Snoop). (She) felt pressured … due to his dominance and his power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and to make sure she was never employed in his industry again.”

According to a previous complaint alleging that Doe “suffered from anxiety, stress, depression, nightmares, sleep disorders, post-traumatic stress, headaches, severe emotional distress and physical ailments” as a result of Dogg and Don Juan’s alleged actions, Doe lost income, bonuses, compensation and other employment benefits.

Days after the lawsuit was filed in February, Snoop Dogg’s spokesman denied the allegations against him, calling them “simply baseless.”

“It appears they are part of a plan to extort money from Snoop Dogg just before his Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday,” they added, according to Reuters.

The spokesman also denied the accuser’s claims that she worked as a stage performer during his concerts.

“It is clear that this extortion scheme is shameful,” they said. “This attempt to use the courts to promote this agenda is also disgraceful and does a disservice to the real victims who deserve to be believed.”
