Auto-rickshaw driver arrested for molesting two minors, three young women | MumbaiNews

The accused auto-driver closely drove his vehicle, almost brushing the girl. He stopped his vehicles in front of the Evershine Crown building in Kandivali East. He stopped the rickshaw next to the victim girl and molested her, a police source said.

After the girl informed her parents, they took her to the police station and filed a complaint.

Later, four more young women, aged 17, 27, 26 and 19 years, arrived at the police station complaining that they too were molested by the accused auto-driver. The accused would target the young women between 2pm and 7pm. Preliminary probe revealed that he would target the young women after being inebriated, another police source said.

The police have registered a case against Bhosale under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.

Bhosale was arrested late at night after he was traced by the police using leads obtained from scanning the CCTV footage of incident spots, an officer said.
