Chicago police say 40-year-old man accused of beating 67-year-old to death in Albany Park

CHICAGO (WLS) — A murder charge has been filed in connection with the fatal beating of a 67-year-old man last Sunday in the Albany Park neighborhood.

Chicago police said Richard Orozco, 40, of the 3100 block of W. Eastwood Avenue, was arrested Thursday in the 4100 block of W. Foster Avenue.

He is accused of beating a man in the 3100 block of W. Lawrence on June 16. The victim later died from his injuries, police said.

The medical examiner did not release the victim’s name.
