In a press release Wednesday, police asked the public for help in identifying two suspects in the murder of Richard Applegate.

Police released two videos, each of which briefly showed someone in the frame. Police believed the two people were connected to the killing.

Applegate’s family members told KTVT-TV he was shot after a confrontation with two young men who were threatening the family.

Police have asked residents in the following areas to check their CCTV for any images or footage of people walking or running between 4:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday, June 21:

  • Skyline Drive
  • Crowley Street
  • Comanche Street
  • Cowden Street
  • Calloway Street
  • Joshua’s Judgment
  • Jalah’s Court

The posted video appears to be from home security cameras, such as a doorbell camera.

Police are not releasing any further information about the suspect due to his age.
