Hemant Soren comes out of jail with a bang, accuses him of trying to rush state elections | India news

Former Prime Minister Hemant Soren said on Sunday that work is underway on a plan to bring forward the elections to the Jharkhand State Assembly compared to the expected dates at the end of the year, adding that he is ready “Anytime” Surveys.

Speaking at Bhognadih in Sahibganj district — commemorating the anniversary of the 1855 tribal rebellion, or hul, against the British — Soren said the Indian bloc leaders would organise their own ‘hul’ to uproot the BJP from Jharkhand and the entire country.

“After being released on bail, this is my first day away from home, just like Hul Diwas. For me, as well as for the adivasis and moolwazas of the state, this day is an inspiration. Due to today’s situation in the country, the INDIA bloc has decided to start a revolution. We have vowed to uproot these feudal people (BJP) from the state and country,” Soren said.

The JMM leader said it was time for another test. “I need to know that the state elections will be held earlier. I say why just bring it back. Hold the elections tomorrow. I promise people have understood their (BJP’s) trick… There is complete chaos (in the opposition BJP camp) and conspiracies are being hatched to get me imprisoned again. But I am not scared,” he said.

Legislative Assembly elections in Jharkhand will likely be held between November and December.

Soren said the BJP has not spared any opposition leader – neither Arvind Kejriwal nor himself. “But these people don’t know that Jharkhand has been anointed with the blood of revolutionaries, from Sido Kanhu (one of the key figures in Hul 1855) to Birsa Munda… They cannot scare me.”
