Two former Calhoun school system employees are accused of having sexual contact with female students, according to authorities.

According to Gordon County Superior Court documents, Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler — both former Calhoun City Schools employees — were charged Thursday with “first-degree sexual contact by an employee or agent” as part of a special grand jury hearing.

The indictment alleges that Greeson engaged in “sexual intercourse and conduct of a sexually explicit nature” with a male student sometime between late October and early January 2022. Court records allege that Greeson “reasonably should have known” that the male student was enrolled as a student, thus violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1(b). She is charged with two counts of sexual contact by an employee or agent.

Shuler was charged with one count of sexual contact by an employee or agent, as well as engaging in “sexual intercourse and sexually explicit conduct” with another CCS-registered student during the same period, and “if reasonably should have known,” that a male student was enrolled as a student, thereby violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1(b).

The ages of the male students named in the case were not released.

Both Greeson and Shuler turned themselves in and were booked into the Gordon County Jail and later released.
