NTA announces NEET re-test results; toppers come down to 61 | Latest News India

The National Testing Authority (NTA) announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET re-examination late on Sunday evening. 1,563 students took the re-exam and were previously given courtesy marks to compensate for lost time on the May 5 exam.

As many as 813 out of 1,563 appeared for re-examination at seven centers in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana and Meghalaya. Officials said none of the 813 candidates who retook the exam on June 23 scored full marks, reducing the number of top candidates from 67 to 61.

Students who missed the re-sit will now get their old, original result without any additional marks. Of the 813 candidates, six from Haryana had earlier secured full 720 out of 720 marks. A government official said none of them secured full marks in the re-sit.

In a notification, the NTA said, “Please be advised that the revised scorecards of all NEET(UG) 2024 candidates (including 1563 candidates who appeared for the re-test on June 23, 2024) are now hosted on the website (Candidates can login on the website and view/download/print your respective revised scorecards.”
