“We extend our deepest condolences to the Anderson and Kuhbander families at this incredibly difficult time,” a department spokesman said.

An investigation into what happened is ongoing, but police have not released any further details.

The day after Kuhbander’s disappearance, his mother took to Facebook to ask for help in finding her son.

“Help us find my son!!!” she wrote in a status with photos of Kuhbander and Anderson.

“My son Chandler Kuhbander went missing yesterday afternoon. Last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, black shorts and black Vans.

“His phone was turned off and the last message from him was at 11:19 this morning.”

She also suggested that the 24-year-old did not willingly go after Anderson, who she later described as a “not bad person”, but someone who is “confused and unstable”, since the pair split after seven years together.

“He was last known to have been forced by a woman named Raegan Anderson,” the distraught mother wrote.

“She is a danger to herself and it is believed that he is not willingly with her!!!” she claimed.

The couple was last found in Crosby, Tennessee on June 25 around 7:30 p.m.

Kuhbander’s mother explained that her son and Anderson were not romantically involved at the time of his disappearance, but “he cared about her very much.”

Her fears for his safety increased when they lost contact with him for over 48 hours and he did not go to work or attend social gatherings.

Their relationship ended in 2023, after seven years of dating since high school.

They lived together and continued to work together at Liberty County Fire Services in Hinesville.

Days before the couple disappeared, Anderson was arrested on suspicion of causing property damage by breaking a window and damaging Kuhbander’s car, according to a police report obtained via Court TV.

According to reports, Anderson confronted her ex-husband after she saw him on a date at Olive Garden in Pooler, Georgia.

A heated exchange of words ensued between the pair in the parking lot when Anderson allegedly ordered Kuhbander’s girlfriend to leave, which she did.

“Anderson stated she did not know why she damaged Kuhbander’s car, only that it hurt her greatly because he moved on,” reads the police report, reported by Court TV.

“She stated that they had been together for a long time and she felt hurt.”

Kuhbander’s mother later revealed that surveillance footage from a parking lot near her son’s gym showed a vehicle similar to Anderson’s circling the area on the day they disappeared.

Other videos released by police show Anderson at a gas station in South Carolina just before she disappeared.
